B2V3: DC B’la visits Buchoo Pattan, inaugurates dev. works

Baramulla: As part of ongoing ‘Back to Village-3’ program, Deputy Commissioner Baramulla Dr G N Itoo Friday paid visit to Buchoo village of Pattan area and inaugurated several developmental works worth Rs 27.43 lakh under 14 FCA, MGNREGA and other flagship programs.
On the occasion, DC presided over a Gram Sabha, during which PRIs and other prominent stakeholders highlighted their grievances and demands viz drinking water, power supply, road connectivity etc. All the demands/issues were recorded by the concerned visiting officer for their necessary redressal.
The concerned officers gave a patient hearing to the public issues and demands and assured that the same shall be taken with the concerned authorities for their timely redressal.
These officers also urged upon the public to participate in such programs and said administration is keen to streamline public service delivery. They also added that various developmental works are being identified and subsequently approved in the ongoing program.
The DC also distributed sports kits among the aspiring youth in order to promote the sports culture. He announced that a play field shall be developed in the area keeping in view the persistent demand of the people.
On the occasion some colorful cultural items were presented which evoked quite applause from the audience.
SDM Pattan Syed Faheem, BDC Chairperson, BDO Pattan, heads of various departments, district and sectoral officers besides a huge gathering of people participated in the program.
