Pulwama: District Development Commissioner Pulwama Dr Raghav Langer Thursday flagged off a group of 60 students for trekking here.
The student trekkers from various schools of the district left for Pahalgam to participate in the 10 days camp organised by Youth Services and Sports Pulwama.
While interacting with the students, the DDC urged them to take advantage of the trip and strictly follow all the instructions of the trainers.
He advised the student group to imbibe the qualities of leadership and initiative in life and asked them to go through the history of world famous tourist resort Pahalgam and other adjoining adventurous places.
He also urged them to keep the environment neat and clean and desist from throwing polythene and other things that pollutes the environment.
The DDC directed the organisers to provide enough sanitizers and other medicines to the trekkers during the camp.
District Sports Officer Noor Mohammad, other concerned officers and officials were present on the occasion.
