B2V-3: Round 2 concludes with inauguration of several dev works across Jammu distt

Jammu: The round second of Back to village phase 3 concluded Thursday here in district Jammu amid massive public response and inaugurations of completed works, foundation stones of new projects and other activities in 15 blocks of the district.
Pertinent to mention, the 2nd round of B2V3 was started in 221 Panchayats of 15 blocks of the district including block Bishnah, Nagrota, Dansal, Mathwar, Bhalwal, Marh, Akhnoor, Mandal Phallian, Maira Mandrian, Chowki Choura, Bhalwal Brahmana, Khour, Smawan, Kharah Balli and Pargwal.
The Visiting officers inaugurated various development projects in Panchayats including roads, lanes, ponds, community toilets and other recently completed works.
At Panchayat Panjgrain of block Nagrota, the visiting officer, Secretary Higher Education Talat Parvez, distributed fruit plants among the farmers of the Panchayat, while visiting officer Secretary Tribal Affairs department Rehana Batul, distributed domicile certificates among the eligible applicants at Panchayat Dok Wazirian of the block.
A pond constructed under back to village phase 1, in convergence with 14th FC, was inaugurated at Panchayat Sagoon of Block Nagrota, while at Panchayat KC upper of Block Nagrota the Visiting Officer laid foundation stone of a pond and a well was inaugurated at Panchayat Marh of Block Nagrota.
Similarly a tractor road from Highway to Moh Brahmana Ward number 1 was inaugurated at Panchayat Khanpur of Block Nagrota and a 63 KV substation taken up under Back to Village phase 1 in convergence with 14th FC was inaugurated at Panchayat Chilla of Block Nagrota.
The PRIs informed that the power sub-station would improve the power scenario in the Panchayat and it was a long pending demand of the public.
To promote sports activities a playground was inaugurated at Panchayat Kana Chargal Upper of Block Nagrota. It was informed that the work of ground was taken up under Back to Village phase 1 in convergence with 14th FC. “Earlier we had no place to play the games. The facility will benefit the local youth and those of the adjoining Panchayats aw well”, said Rakesh Kumar, a local youth.
A community sanitation complex (community toilet) was inaugurated at Panchayat Kana Bain Bajalta and a culvert at Panchayat Kattal Battal of Block Nagrota. The culvert was constructed back to village phase 1 in convergence with 14th FC. The boundary wall of primary school Jhallni was inaugurated at the Panchayat Aithem of the same Block . The work was taken up under back to village phase 1 in convergence with 14th FC.
Meanwhile, various projects were inaugurated in other blocks of the district. At Panchayat Pangiari of block Akhnoor the visiting officers along with PRIs inaugurated a bathing Ghat. The PRIs informed that it was long pending demand of locals.
Various other activities were also held in all the Panchayats of the district including distribution of blankets during PMAY beneficiaries’ Greh Parvesh, distribution of sports kits, holding mahila sabhas and other such activities.
