Srinagar: Dr Shahid Amin Trali presently Assistant Professor at the School of Management and Nodal officer for JK-PMSSS, ITM University Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh on Saturday advised the Jammu & Kashmir based students not to miss good career opportunities under JK-PMSSS.
In a statement issued to “ Kashmir Horizon” on Saturday Dr Shahid Amin said “Our students don’t need to worry as only the recognized institutions outside the UT of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh are allotted to students under the scheme. The students are being supported financially through this scholarship scheme in terms of their academic fees as well as hostel and mess charges etc. But the students must be clear in advance whether their allotted institution is very much aligned with their career objectives. Students also need to be very much cautious as it has been observed that some agents/ institutions are making false promises and sending fake messages to students regarding the scholarship scheme. One thing our J & K students need to do is to strictly follow the guidelines given on the AICTE website. Moreover the agencies involved must create more awareness regarding JK-PMSSS”.
Every year a good number of scholarships are being offered to our students under the Prime Minister’s special scholarship scheme for Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh. This year also students will be allotted seats in different courses in the approved educational institutions. Admission of students will be given on purely merit basis. There are reservations available for SC, ST, SEBC & PH students as per reservation policy prescribed for the UTs of J&K and Ladakh. Students with higher marks are more likely to get admission under PMSSS Academic Year 2020-21.
