‘Back to Village’ Phase III; a march towards building public trust, people’s relationship with Govt: Advisor Baseer

Pulwama: “Back to Village program is a march towards building public trust besides strengthening relationship between the administration and the people” stated Advisor Baseer Khan while addressing during the last phase of Block Divas celebration in Awantipora.
Advisor Khan said Jan Abhiyan is aimed at to further streamline public service delivery, redress public grievances within the shortest possible time and achieve cent percent saturation of beneficiary oriented schemes.
During his visit to Block Awantipora Wednesday on the eve of last phase of Block Diwas being celebrated across J&K, Advisor Khan inspected the stalls established by different departments and enquired about the grievance redressal mechanism being adopted to satiate public aspirations there.
He interacted with scores of people who participated in the Block Divas and listened to their issues and grievances.
Meanwhile, Advisor distributed sports kits among school children besides presenting income and domilcle certificates to the beneficiaries. He also handed over Baby Kits to newly born girl children under BBBP, distributed sanction letters under Ladli Beti Scheme besides distributing wheel chairs, hearing aids and walking sticks among the persons with disabilities.
Advisor also met various delegations including representatives from PRIs, Barsoo, Mandekpal, Lethpora and Pampore .
BDC Chairman Awantipora demanded retrieval of encroached Kahcharie land and development of Awantipora town besides enhancement of Block Development Fund and flood mitigation plan for the town.
A delegation from Gujjar Bakerwal community demanded macadamization of roads, upgradation of primary school to high school and other development works.
A delegation from Lethpora demanded establishment of Trauma Centre in Lethpora while a delegation from Panzgam demanded establishment of a Degree college and up gradation of PHC to SDH.
A delegation from Gulzarpora demanded proper drinking water facility and installation of bore wells besides staff for PHC while a delegation from Barsoo demanded adequate staff for PHC besides a scientific drainage system in Barsoo.
A delegation of contractors from Pampore Block demanded disbursement of pending dues besides permission for transporting material supply to work sites.
A delegation of Sikh Community demanded construction of Minority school in Tral and macadamization of all link roads connecting Saimoh.
A delegation of Saffron growers from Pampore demanded exposure camps for growers, expo hut on national highway and minimum support price for the same. They also demanded marketing facility for Saffron and completion of sprinkling system.
Pertinently, Block Divas was held in all eleven blocks of the district where detailed discussion was held regarding different development projects besides issues being faced by the common masses of different panchayats were highlighted.
The designated officers including ADCs Pulwama, Tral and Awantipora besides other district officers listened to the demands and issues of the people.
On the occasion, several grievances were solved on the spot while rest of the issues were forwarded to the concerned departments for prompt redressal through an established tracking system.
Meanwhile, DDC and other designated officers at various blocks gave patient hearing to the public issues and concerns assuring timely redressal of the same.
