It drains our sweat,
Blood and strength to build a house.
Our dreams,aspirations,wishes and joys,
Remain attached to it for ages.
Its transformation into a home,
Consumes our rest of the power.
It is our shield,
In times of calamity, pandemics and distress.
But unfortunately we dwell,
In a conflict torn part of globe,
Where all these heaps of hopes,
Get shattered within hours and minutes.
The energy, hopes and wealth,
Put to build these,
Are reduced to debris.
Rayees! Now pray to almighty,
Peace get a chance here.
The cycle of death and destruction,
Vanishes for ever.
