Srinagar: Former J&K chief minister and National Conference (NC) vice president Omar Abdullah condoled the demise of former Union minister Jaswant Singh, calling him the perfect boss and mentor.
Mr Singh died of prolonged illness on Sunday at the age of 82.
Recalling the memories he has of working with Mr Singh, who was a Minister in Atal Bihari Vajpayee cabinet, Mr Abdullah said ‘he was supportive without being interfering, was always available for advice and never made me feel like my work didn’t matter’.
“Jaswant Singh sahib was my senior minister when I was Minister of State External Affairs. He was supportive without being interfering, was always available for advice & never made me feel like my work didn’t matter. He was the perfect boss & mentor. Rest in peace sir,” Mr Abdullah wrote on micro-blogging site twitter.
