Srinagar: Police in Handwara along with security forces have arrested a militant associate in Mandigam Kralgund area and recovered arms & ammunition from his possession.
On a specific input, a cordon and search operation was launched by Handwara Police along with 32RR and 92BN CRPF in the orchards of Village Mandigam Kralgund. During search, one militant associate identified as Akeel Ahmad Parray son of Wali Mohd resident of Mandigam Kralgund was apprehended.
Incriminating materials including arms and ammunitions were recovered from his possession. Preliminary investigation reveals that he is an active militant associate, linked with LeT.
A case FIR No 90/2020 under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Kralgund and investigation has been initiated.
