Director Horticulture takes stock of departmental activities in Rajouri distt

Rajouri: Director Horticulture Jammu, Ram Savak Wednesday conducted an extensive tour of Rajouri District and chaired the meeting of the officers at Government Fruit Plant Nursery, Siot to review the progress of various developmental activities taken up by the department.
During the tour, the Director inspected the Fruit Plant Nursery Siot to ascertain the achievements made for the production of quality planting material and instructed the nursery staff to work with zeal and dedication.
He also attended the Jan Abhiyan Program at Nowshera and listened to the issues of the locals including the fruit growers.
The Director elaborated the various departmental schemes and asked the farmers to avail maximum benefits from the ongoing departmental schemes like MIDH, CAPEX, PMKSY, SMAM etc. He also visited the land identified for the establishment of fruit plant Nursery at Seri besides inspecting the various orchards at Sunderbani and Nowshera Zones.
He was accompanied by Chief Horticulture Officer Rajouri, Madan Lal, DLSMS, Sandeep Kumar and Horticulture Development Officers.
