Advisor Bhatnagar visits Border Block Ramgrah on Block Diwas

Samba: As part of the ongoing public outreach program ‘Jan Abhiyan’ Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, Rajeev Rai Bhatnagar Wednesday visited Block Ramgarh at International Border and attended the Block Diwas here.
Deputy Commissioner Samba, Rohit Khajuria, SSP Samba, ACD Samba, Block Development Council Chairpersons, PRI representatives, district and sectoral level officers of all the departments and large number of locals were also present on the occasion.
Terming the ongoing Jan Abhiyan and the upcoming B2V3 program vital for achieving efficient and welfare governance, Advisor Bhatnagar asked the general public to come forward with their developmental aspirations and needs to the administration as such programs have been launched to ensure prompt and hassle free public service delivery besides involving them in mission of equitable development.
Asserting that cooperation of general public is bedrock for effective development, the Advisor maintained that such initiatives are being taken to facilitate the public at grass root level with regard to public service delivery.
Interacting with the public there, Advisor Bhatnagar maintained that the present administration is committed to ensuring participatory planning and empowering the people by providing them opportunities for the articulation of their demands and issues. The Advisor also asked the PRI representatives to develop a constructive dialogue with government officers and reap maximum benefit through regular Jan Adhikar sessions and Unnat Gram Abhiyan.
During his visit, Advisor Bhatnagar also interacted with the field staff of departments, enquiring about the progress on beneficiary oriented schemes in the block and the steps being taken for reaching out to the deserving and needy people by ensuring universal coverage of beneficiaries under various Social Assistance and Welfare schemes.
On the occasion, Deputy Commissioner Samba briefed the Advisor about the coverage of beneficiaries under various schemes in the block, road development works, interventions in the education and health sector besides other works. The DC further informed that in District Samba 100% achievement has been made under Old age pension, Widow pension and Handicap pension while as during ongoing Jan Adhikar session 2900 Domicile certificates, 309 Caste Certificates, 89 EWS certificates, Health cards, KCC cards have been issued to the eligible beneficiaries.
While attending the Jan Sunwai Abhiyan at Ramgarh, several delegations and individuals interacted with Advisor Bhatnagar and highlighted their grievances and issues pertaining to their areas with the Advisor and sought immediate redressal for the same.
Responding to the public demands raised by the BDC Chairman, like upgradation of Ramgarh hospital from 30 beds to 100 beds, receiving station, subsidy on agricultural implements and others, Advisor Bhatnagar maintained that all the genuine demands shall be thoroughly reviewed and action as required shall be taken by the concerned department’s officers on these demands in a time bound manner.
The Advisor assured the general public that the LG’s Administration is making persistent efforts to redress all the genuine issues and demands of the public to mitigate their sufferings and to ensure that they do not feel any inconvenience in getting the basic necessities of life.
