Srinagar: Police in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Friday claimed to have arrested four persons along with drugs worth rupees crores.
A police official told news gathering agency Kashmir Dot Com-(KDC) that Baramulla police arrested four suspected persons from old town Baramulla and on their disclosure six packets of narcotic drugs (Cocine like substance) about 6 kgs worth rupees crores was recovered from their possession.
He identified the arrested persons as Bilal Ahmad Mir son of Gh Mohd Mir of Gulnar Park, Rafiq Ahmad Sofi son of Mohammad Shaban of Syed Karim, Tariq Bhuroo son of Ab Rashid Bhuroo of Azad Gunj and Shabir Ahmad Mir son of Habibullah Mir of Ahan Ganderbal.
He said that a case under FIR number 160/2020 under sections 8/21-29 of NDPS act has been registered at police station Baramulla and investigation have been set into motion.
“This is the biggest recovery of this year while dealing with the menace of drug peddling”.
