Bandipora Police solves theft case, accused arrested; stolen property recovered

Bandipora: Police in Bandipora solved a theft case by arresting two accused persons involved in the commission of crime and recovered stolen property from his possession.
On 06/09/2020, Police Station Aloosa received a complaint from Mushtaq Ahmad Khan son of Habibullah Khan resident of Binlipora Aloosa that one person namely Ghulam Ahmad Shah son of Qadoos Shah resident of Beeru Kanigund has trespassed his residential house and decamped with the jewellery worth lakhs.
Accordingly, a case FIR No. 99/2020 under relevant sections of law was registered in Police Station Kaloosa and investigation was set into motion.
Acting promptly upon this case, police arrested the accused and during the course of investigation the accused person disclosed his involvement in the commission of crime.
On his disclosure officers were able to recover 03 golden rings and two ear rings from different locations in Magam area. He further disclosed the involvement of two more persons who used to work as a gang and the modus operandi was cheating women by deceitful acts. Moreover it came to fore that they were found to be involved in various acts of similar nature in different areas of valley. They have been arrested and shifted to Police Station where they remain in custody. Further investigation is going on and more recoveries are expected.
Community members have applauded the efforts made by the Bandipora Police in solving the case. We assure community members that police have resolved to act tough against individuals involved in criminal activities.
