Pattan encounter: Slain militants buried in Sonamarg

Baramulla: Jammu and Kashmir police on Saturday morning buried all the three Hizb-ul-Mujhaideen militants, who were killed in an encounter yesterday at Yeddipora area of Pattan in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district, in Sonmarg area of Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district, officials said.
Police officials said the slain were identified as Hanan Bilal Sofi Arampora Baramulla, Shafat Khan Rawalpora Delina and the third one is unidentified. “All the bodies were later taken to Sonamarg for burial,” they said.
The decision not to give away the bodies was taken in view of the Coronavirus pandemic, police said, adding that police and some locals dug three graves in a graveyard in Sonmarg.
