DDC reviews progress of ongoing Power Projects in Kupwara

Kupwara: District Development Commissioner (DDC), Kupwara, Anshul Garg Saturdayconvened a meeting of concerned Engineers to review the progress of on-going power projects executed under Centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSS) viz. DDUGJY, R-APDRP, PMDP, Languishing projects and Back to Village program in the district.
The meeting was informed that 2 projects under DDUGJY including construction of 6.3 MVA Receiving Station Teethwal and Receiving Station Keran are at the completion stage. Besides, more than 60 percent progress has been made on two other projects that include construction of Receiving Station Machil and Electrification of un-electrified villages.
Augmentation of 7 Receiving Stations including 6.3 MVA Receiving Station (RS) Sogam, RS Chogul, Doolipora, Ganapora, Khumriyal, Kralpora and Receiving Station Krusan under PMDP are also nearing completion.
Under the Languishing Projects scheme, construction of one transformer repairing workshop at Tangdar has been completed and 95 percent progress has been achieved on other 2 projects including construction of 33/11 KV 6.3 MVA, Receiving Station Karihama and RS Changmulla.
The DDC directed the concerned executing agencies to complete all remaining works on Receiving Station Machill by September 20 for its commissioning.
He also directed them to facilitate inspection of the completed Receiving Stations wherever needed on priority basis to ensure smooth power supply to the people before the winter season.
The DDC also took a detailed review of ongoing projects under R-APDRP, PMDP-U, DDUGJY and PMDP-R and stressed upon the concerned executing agencies to put concrete efforts for completion of all these works within the stipulated time frame.
Among others, the meeting was attended by JD Planning, Superintending Engineer (SE) KPDCL Kupwara, SE Projects, Executive Engineers of KPDCL Kupwara & Handwara, Executive Engineer STD Sopore, Executive Engineer Project Wing Power and Project Manager RECPDCL.
