The light of the world, the beacon in the dark and the hope that gives us strength to survive, is our teacher. A day, kept aside to honour the gifted souls who work everyday to make sure that the future is bright for all of us. On this beautiful occasion, let us take the opportunity to convey our wishes to all our teachers, who have given impeccable contribution in shaping us. We celebrate Teachers’ day on 5th of September every year in India. September 5th is marked by the birth anniversary of Dr.Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan and the Teachers’ day is celebrated in commemoration of his birthday. Along with being a succesful leader in the form of the President of the Country, Dr.Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan was great scholar and an excellent teacher.Studentsacross the country celebrate this day to pay respect and thank their teachers. Teachers are the back bone of our society. They spear head change by shaping and building students’ personality and make them ideal citizens of the country. As one looks at the great impact on the growth, development and well being of the students and nation, one must agree that teaching is a noble profession. There is a saying that teachers are greater than the parents. Parents give birth to a child whereas teachers mould that child’s personality and provide a bright future. Teachers are our second parents. Teachers play a prominent role in influencing and inspiring us. Apart from academics, teachers stand by us at every step to guide, motivate and inspire to become better people.They are the source of knowledge and wisdom. From them leads the ideas and thougts, that one day each one of us will use to provide back into this society. As we all know that it is impossible to define ‘teacher’ , as Teachers are not only limited to Teaching or guiding students in academics but also helping students to take the right path. They add value to our character and make us ideal citizens of the country. The curriculum we follow is just a raw material to knowledge. A good teacher is the one who brings in lasting impact by his/her warmth. Teachers are vital elements in everyone’s lives, they touch the soul of their students and bring the best in them. As students, we have been some times tough to handle. But your individual attention has helped us learn from our mistakes and grow. Teachers are also the guides who play an important role in transforming a student into a responsible citizen. They also serve selflessly and help us to reach our aim in all terms. Their contribution is not only limited to schools but it extends to society and country. Thus, after parents, teachers should receive the due respect. Teachers’ day is celebrated as a special event in schools and colleges in different ways.
Teacher not only Molds the brain of a student but also enhances the behavior of a child in every aspect of society and nowadays Teacher- Student relationship is so friendly and dominant that they can change and Tackle any hard situation without any fear.
Students will be looking forward to make the event special by offering gifts, flowers and greeting cards to their teachers. Cultural programs are conducted to make the program more fun-filled and colourful. Teachers inspire, motivate, enlighten and show the right path to life. Without teachers our life would have been a dark cave, it is from our teachers we learn and know about the world. Teacher is the one who awakens creativity, knowledge and expression. A teacher is the one who ignites our imagination and is the only person who can instill the love of learning in us. I would like to extend my gratitude to every teacher for selfless service and dynamic support. We are always grateful to you.
