Sopore Police seizes illicit timber, accused arrested

Baramulla: Police in Sopore arrested a timber smuggler and seized illicit timber.
Officers at a checkpoint established near Hospital Dangiwacha Rafiabad intercepted a tractor bearing registration number JK05C 6710 and seized illicit timber from the vehicle. The arrested timber smuggler has been identified as Ashiq Hussain Parry Son of Ghulam Mohammad Parry resident of Rawoocha. He has been shifted to Police Station Dangiwacha where he remains in custody. The vehicle used in the commission of crime has also been seized.
A case FIR No. 109/2020 under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Dangiwacha & investigation into the matter has been initiated.
