Awareness camp on labour welfare schemes held at Bhagwah

Doda: Awareness camp cum interaction meeting was Wednesday held with the PRl members, workers and officials of Rural Development Department was hosted by labour department here at Bhagwah.
In the meeting, awareness regarding various labour laws and welfare schemes for organized and unorganized workers was provided to the participants.
Assistant Labour Commissioner (ALC) informed that the Govt. of J&K UT Labour Department has started registration of construction workers on Mission mode project and renewal of inactive workers who are already registered.
It was informed that the Government has empowered Chairman of the Block Development Councils and Municipal Committees for issuance of employment certificate to BOC workers required for the purpose of registration and renewal of labour card.
Sarpanchs and Chairman were requested to mobilize these deserving workers and help them in registration on the website www.jkbocw.gov.in so that benefit of Welfare schemes reach to them.
