Srinagar: The fissures within Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) Monday came to fore as the official statement issued by the party has lambasted the party Vice President, Ghulam Nabi Monga for his alleged ‘his anti-party activities’.
The official statement by the Congress quoting its leaders have expressed dissatisfaction over the former Member of Legislative Council (MLC), G N Monga, stating that he is an intolerable liability and is not even able to win a Panch seat in his constituency during his failed political career.
However, Monga when contacted said that the statement issued by the party leaders has showed their mentality against the person who has given his 45 years to the party.
The party leaders in a statement termed Monga as a big intolerable liability for the Congress Party and demanded stern disciplinary action against his for his anti-party rants.
Senior Congress leaders and district President of Kashmir in a joint statement have expressed full confidence under the leadership of Party President Ghulam Ahmad Mir, saying that Mir has rejuvenated party to the best of his ability, the Party doesn’t take remarks of Gulam Nabi Monga seriously, as he has damaged the Party from the day one.
They asked Monga to go to for self-introspection, as that, he will find that he doesn’t exist anywhere on the ground, they said.
“You have no base or following, your job was to weak Congress Party and strengthen the anti-Congress forces inorder to serve your vested interests,” the leaders told Monga and strongly condemned his anti-party activities.
They hit out at Monga for indulging in anti-party activities and said the accidental Congress leader was always in habit of tarnishing image of party leaders.
He said Monga being a non-existent political person in Baramulla (his native district) could not digest the hard work and popularity of JKPCC President because he was not even able to win a Panch seat in his constituency during his failed political career.
A non-entity person (Monga) was already under scanner for his anti-party activities, for a long time, for the fact he was also hobnobbing with various anti Congress Parties inorder to weaken the Party, but he was not aware that the Party had confirmed reports about his activities, while as he was several times cautioned by his friends, but he did not pay any heed to their advices.
The party leaders expressed full faith in the leadership of Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and JKPCC President Mir and said they will not tolerate indiscipline of Monga, anymore. They demanded stern action against Monga and urged the Party high command not to waste even a minute in ensuring expulsion of the Monga from the basic membership of the party.
However, Monga when contacted said that he has no knowledge as to why the statement against him was issued. “The issuance of the statement only exhibited the mentally of the party leaders. I don’t know on what grounds they have termed my activities as anti-party activities,” he said.
“We don’t hide anything. I have given 45 years of my life to this party. My contribution to the party is quite visible. Whatever the issues we have, we discuss it within the party,” he added
