J&K Bank organises DLRC meet in Bandipora

Srinagar : To review the performance of banks and different line departments of Bandipora district for the financial year 2019-20 under the Annual Credit Plan (ACP), J&K Bank conducted a District Level Review Committee meeting, chaired by the District Development Commissioner (DDC) Bandipora Dr. Owais Ahmad (IAS).
The meeting organised by Lead Bank Office Bandipora was attended by Lead District Manager (LDM) Bandipora Mehraj Uddin Naqash, LDO Reserve Bank of India Ashok Kumar, Cluster Head North II Zahoor Ahmad Khan, DDM NABARD Asif Bhat, district officers of line departments, district coordinators of banks and other concerned officials from various government departments.
On the occasion, it was informed that all banks operating in the district have extended credit aggregating to an amount of Rs 524.46 Cr out of which Rs 340.61 Cr have been disbursed under Priority Sector and Rs 183.85 Cr under Non-Priority Sector.
While addressing the meeting, Chairman DLRC/DDC Dr. Owais Ahmad (IAS) pressed for speedy disposal of the government sponsored cases۔ He also urged the banks operating in the district to improve the CD ratio, KCC penetration and implementation of social security schemes.
Speaking of achievements, LDM said Priority Sector saw a coverage of 59.41 % while Non-Priority Sector registered an achievement of 177.29% upto March 31, 2020. The total Annual Credit Plan registered 77% achievement in the same period.
The LDM also said that J&K Bank alone has disbursed Rs 439.01 Cr against the target of 347.31 Cr registering an achievement of 126%.
