New Delhi: Former President Pranab Mukherjee is being treated for lung infection and is haemodynamically stable, the Army Research and Referral Hospital, Delhi said on Friday.
His vitals are being maintained and Mukherjee is on ventilatory support , closely monitored by a team of specialists.
There was slight improvement witnessed in his respiratory parameters on Thursday after the former President had developed symptoms of lung infection on Wednesday.
He was admitted to the R&R hospital on August 10 and had to undergo an emergency life saving brain surgery after the discovery of a clot.
Mukherjee, 84, had earlier tested positive for COVID-19.
