Srinagar/Au,21: Chairman People’s Democratic Front (PDF) Hakeem Mohammad Yaseen Friday urged the central government to reserve all available vacat government jobs for the local youth of erstwhile J&K state and not to make the matter a free for all gifts. He said if the Government of Madhya Pradesh ( MP) can reserve all its government jobs for its local unemployed youth, why Center is hellbent upon to usurp employment rights of J&K youth?
In a statement issued here on Friday, Hakeem said that Center should amenent it’s new domicile and recruitment rules to ensure that all the locally available government jobs are kept reserved for the local educated un- employed youth. He said if MP government can reserve its vacant government jobs for its local un employed youth, why Center was hellbend to usurp employment rights of j&k youth. He said due to Central government’s double standards and step motherly treatment, youth of Jammu and Kashmir are very much dejected and see their future as totally dark and uncertain. He has cautioned that playing with the future of j&k youth was fraught with disastrous repercussions for the overall interests of the country. He said “Onus lies on the Centre leadership to rise to the occasion and come upto the expectations of the youth so that their alienation and despair was addressed.
PDF Chairman said due to disadvantageous geographically location , there were almost negligible industries in Jammu and Kashmir, which has further choked the already scare job markets .Under these conditions, it was imperative to create more employment avenues for the youth of Jammu and Kashmir, instead of snatching from them, existing one limited government job vacancies. He said central government should, in the larger interests of the Nation, keep all the local job vacancies reserved for the youth of Jammu and Kashmir. Hakeem said that his party would use all democratic means to seek protection for the employment rights of the local youth and would also apprise the Central leadership and intelligentsia about the possible fall outs of usurping employment rights of J&K youth.
