Islamic scholars, locals stage protest against ‘blasphemous’ remarks in Baramulla

Baramulla: Islamic Scholars and locals of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district held a peaceful protest march after prayers against the ‘blasphemous’ remarks against our Prophet Muhammad (SAW) and demanded exemplary punishment to the accused.
According to KNS news agency that hundreds of Islamic scholars locals and shopkeepers started march towards Main market of Oldtown from Dargah-e-allaie Masjid Shareef.the protesters while on way raised slogans”Gustakh Nabi(SAW) Ka key saza Sar Tan Se juda Sar tan se juda”against the accused who used blasphemous remarks against Prophet Muhammad (SAW) couple of days ago in Reasi district of Jammu region.
Locals exhorted upon higher authorities to book the accused under relevant sections of law and said exemplary punishment should be given to such elements who lacks any respect to other faiths.
However the protesters, later on, dispersed peacefully from Shaher Khaas Varmul.
