SMC Comr directs hassle free services to people, asks officials to set up assistant booths during Mohharam days

Srinagar: Commissioner Srinagar Municipal Corporation Gazanfar Ali Wednesday reviewed Mohharam UL Haram arrangements in Shia populated areas at Shalimar , Chandpora, Harwan , Lashkare Mohhalla , Hasnabad and several other adjoining Areas.
Ali who visited these places to take stock of sanitation, functioning of street lights and drainage networking was accompanied by Joint Commissioner Works Ishtiyaq Ahmed Shah, Chief Sanitation Officer Mudasir Hussain Banday, Engineers from electric wing , concerned ward officers and other officials.Directions were passed on to put in place all the arrangements so that devotees face no inconvenience during the Mohharam days.During his visit to these areas several works were identified after having interaction with the locals and accordingly directions were passed on to the concerned to tender out the works at an earliest.However Ali stressed to set up assistant booths in all Shia populated areas in order to facilitate people during Mohharam days.
