Srinagar: A 29-year-old policeman, who was on leave, died due to electrocution in north Kashmir’s Pattan village on Thursday.
Reports said that a 29-year-old policeman who was posted at IRP Battalion Parihaspora Pattan was electrocuted to death while repairing an electric wire when he came in contact with live wire at his home at Wanigam Pattan.
An official identified the deceased as Hilal Ahmad Bhat, son of Wali Mohammad Bhat. The officer said the cop was on leave and died at his home.
He said a case has been registered and further investigation has been initiated in this regard
