FC Rev visits Budgam, reviews functioning of rev deptt

Budgam:Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir will be the first among states/UTs in the country where survey of land will be done through CORS System ensuring complete error free digitization of Jamabandies reducing chances of disputes.
Financial Commissioner Revenue, Dr Pawan Kotwal, informed this in a meeting convened here Tuesday in this regard.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner Budgam, Shahbaz Ahmed Mirza, ADC, SDMs, Tehsildars, Naib Tehsildars and other concerned revenue officials.
Financial Commissioner directed the concerned revenue authorities to pace up the process of completing left out Jamabandies on war footing. Hence on there shall be a target of an average of 25 khatas per day besides their shall be khata wise detail available on daily basis through concerned DESO.
Financial Commissioner said from now on we are going to carry out survey/measurements of the land and its record digitized which is possible when Jamabandies are fully completed. He asked all revenue authorities to remain vigilant as within next 15 days we are going to install the CORS system and there will be 20 such installations in the whole UT. The readings and information relating to survey of the land will be accurate up to 5 cm radius. The system will calculate radius of any Khata itself, this new technology supported system will enhance capacity and capability to the extent that in just one hour you will be able to do survey of up to 5 Khatas.
He stressed upon the concerned revenue authorities from patwari to higher ups to educate the people about this technology telling them its benefits like reduction in chances of disputes /confusions. He said every district has to establish one CORS system in a mission mode.
On Domicile, Financial Commissioner emphasized that all applications shall be disposed of instantly within one day and their shall be no pendency beyond 15 days and any laxity on their part will be dealt with seriously.
Earlier, Deputy Commissioner put forth detailed performance report of the department of Revenue through Power Point Presentation relating to many issues including status of completion of Jamabandies, Status of Kahcharaie and state land existing in District Budgam, status of encroachments removed, status of Domicile Certificates issued till date, Registration of land made till date , status of land acquisition under ring road project and the disbursement and award completion in number of villages.
Regarding the completion of Jamabandies, the DDC briefed the meeting that out of total 504 revenue villages jamabandies have been completed in 190 villages, 48 villages are under portal process while 88 villages are under process and the remaining 178 villages are still untouched.
Regarding Domicile issue, DDC informed that about 21961 applications have been received through both online and offline mode till date 6762 certificates have been issued offline while 7744 through online mode 5872 are under process and the remaining 1583 have been rejected on the grounds of not fulfilling all requirements.
