Srinagar:Police in Srinagar solved a burglary case and have arrested two accused persons involved in the commission of crime. Stolen property worth lakhs has also been recovered.
On 17th August 2020, Police Post Chanapora received a written complaint from one individual Ghulam Qadir Beigh resident of Chakpora Nowgam Srinagar that burglary has occurred in his service station (Sultan Service Station & Car accessories) located at Shah Jeelan Colony Natipora. Accordingly, Case FIR No. 207/2020 under relevant sections of law was registered in PS Sadder and investigation was initiated.
A special investigation team was constituted headed by SHO PS Saddar for investigation. During the course of investigation, SIT taking assistance of human sources and technical evidence, some suspects were questioned. One of the suspect identified as Shahid Shafi Mir son of Mohd Shafi Mir resident of Chakpora Nowgam Srinagar, who was working in the same service station some time back was also called for questioning. During questioning officers learnt about his involvement in the commission of crime.
On his disclosure stolen property worth lakhs has been recovered and his accomplice identified as Nisar Ismaiel Sheikh son of Mohammad Ismaiel Shiekh resident of Mehboob Colony Chanapora Srinagar was also arrested.
Case is under investigation and further more recoveries are expecting.
