Srinagar: SSP Reasi Rashmi Wazir confirmed that FIR has been registered and culprits responsible for hurting sentiments of a community have been arrested.
Talking to KNS, SSP Reasi said, ” Arrests have been made after taking cognizance of the video. Similarly in Jammu where this video become viral where something was said to create enmity between communities. Jammu police has also taken cognizance and have arested the person behind this. I think this sends a strong message to the people who try to disturb the peace and harmony of this place.”
In her message she said, ” There are all types of people in all communities- good people , bad people who would like to cash in on such episodes and incidents. Thai incident happened because of one person, then a whole community will be blamed for it and we should not try to target a community just because that was a personal opinion of that person who was speaking to the public and media. He doesn’t represent the whole community. I would like to make an appeal to people. J&K is known for cultural ethos, people should just maintain peace and harmony, brotherhood should be maintained. People should not pay heed to rumour mongers and should not pay to malicious.culprits have been booked and people should now carry on with their lives.”(KNS)
