Srinagar/Aug,16: Chairman Jammu and Kashmir Civil Society Forum(JK CSF) Ab Qayoom Wani on Sunday strongly condemned the blasphemous remarks against prophet of Islam Hazrat Mohammad (Peace be upon him) passed by an anti-social and anti-human element in Riyasi district of J&K which has escalated tensions in the area as remarks have hurt the sentiments of the peace loving people particularly the Muslim community.

In a statement issued here on Sunday Wani termed the blasphemous remarks an attempt to disrupt the social harmony and hurt the sentiments of Muslims at a time when world is facing the worst ever pandemic and when the entire world is in dire need of religious harmony.

Wani said Prophet of Islam (peace be upon him) is the highest revered prophet for mankind and any blasphemous act or gesture against him is intolerable. Wani said that Prophet (SAW) has shown light in the darkness that will keep lightening every aspect of life from cradle to grave for the whole mankind and the people who hurt the sentiments of others on the basis of religion cast and creed are enemies of the Peace and must be condemned by one and all. Wani appealed the people to show patience and tolerance according to the teachings of Islam. Wani urged the authorities to take immediate stern action against the culprit and book him at an earliest for this heinous crime.
