I-Day celebration: Full dress rehearsal held across Jammu

Jammu: Full dress rehearsal for 74th Independence Day was held Thursday, here at Mini- Stadium Parade whereat Divisional Commissioner, Sanjeev Verma inspected the parade, hoisted the tricolour and took the salute at the march past comprising contingents of District Police, CRPF, JKAP, Forest Protection Force and IRP.
The function for Independence Day rehearsal commenced with the hoisting of tricolour and followed by Flag March and March Past.
On the occasion, a scintillating, pre-recorded cultural programme, depicting patriotism, culture and message against the social evils and national anthem was also screened by Information Department.
ADC Jammu, Dr Tahir Firdous, Joint Director Information and heads of various departments, district officers along with senior officers were present to witness the full dress rehearsal.
The full dress rehearsal was also held across the districts of Jammu division.
At Kathua: The full dress rehearsal was held at District Sports Stadium. Additional Deputy Commissioner, Atul Gupta, hoisted the Tricolour and took salute at the impressive march past comprising 10 contingents drawn from CRPF, District Police, Police Training School, IRP, Home Guard, PTS Band besides an all women contingent of Women Police Station. ASP, Ramnish Gupta, District Officers and staff of various departments attended the full dress rehearsal.
At Rajouri: The District Administration Rajouri conducted the full dress rehearsal at District Police Lines Rajouri.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Thakur Sher Singh unfurled the tricolor and took the salutation at the March Past. comprising 7 contingents of JKAP, JK Executive Police, CRPF, JK FPF, Home Guard, IRP, SPO and Police band Rajouri.
A variety show on patriotic themes and culture was also presented by the participating troupes. The full dress rehearsal was also conducted in all the sub-divisional and tehsils of the district.
At Kishtwar: The full dress rehearsal was conducted here in the premises of New DC office Complex, ahead of the I-Day Celebrations. Additional District Development Commissioner, Mohd Hanif Malik hoisted the Tricolour and took salute at the march past comprising contingents of District Police, CISF, Forest protection force and Home guards. It was followed by National anthem presented by band of Girls from GHSS with due observance of the COVID19 protocol in view of spreading COVID19 pandemic.
At Udhampur: Additional Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur Nagendra Singh Jamwal took Salute at an impressive march past of 07 contingent drawn from J&K Police, SKPA,CRPF and Volunteer Home Guard, besides Police Band during full Dress Rehearsal, held at Government PG Degree College (Boys ).
The Full Dress Rehearsal commenced with the unfurling of tricolour by the ADC followed by signing of National Anthem.
At Reasi: The full dress rehearsal for celebration of Independence Day 2020 was held at Zorawar Singh Sports Stadium whereat Additional Deputy Commissioner, Rajinder Kumar Sharma hoisted the tricolour.
The contingents of J&K Police and CRPF presented March past. The students of Girls Higher Secondary School presented the National Anthem on the occasion.
At Samba: the Full dress rehearsal for Independence Day (ID) was held at Sports Stadium, with due observance of covid protection protocols. Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Jitender Mishra hoisted the Tricolour and took salute at the March past.
At Doda: Full dress rehearsal, in connection with the celebrations of Independence day 2020, was held here at the Sports Stadium. Additional Deputy Commissioner, Kishori Lal Sharma, after inspection of the parade took salute at the march past comprising the contingents drawn from the JKP, IRP 5th Bn, CRPF, SSB, FPF and District Police band.
SP operations Doda, ASP Hq DODA, ACD, ACR, CEO, DYSSO, Cultural Officer, besides other senior officers of Police and Civil Administration were present on the occasion.
Similarly, a full dress rehearsal for Independence Day celebrations was held at New Bus Stand Bhaderwah, in which Tehsildar Bhaderwah Zeeshan Tahir unfurled the tricolour and took salute at the March past presented by the CRPF 33 Bn and JKAP. ADC Bhaderwah, ASP Bhaderwah, SDPO Bhaderwah, CRPF, ZEPO and other officers were also present.
At Ramban: the Full dress rehearsal for 74th Independence Day celebration was held at District Police Line, where Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Ashok Kumar Sharma hoisted the Tricolour and took the salute at the March Past comprising Military band, Police, CRPF and IRP contingents.
Among others present were SSP, Haseeb –ur- Rehman, ASP, Sanjay Parihar, Dy. SP headquarter and other concerned officers.
At Poonch: District Administration conducted the Full dress rehearsal here at Sports Stadium ahead of the Independence Day-2020. Additional District Development Commissioner, Mohd Rashid Chowdhary took the salute at an impressive march past comprising 4 contingents drawn from JKP, CRPF, JKPQRT and JK Armed Police.
A variety cultural show was also presented by the participating troupes on the occasion.
Additional SP, Sheikh Khalid Ameen, Chief Education Officer, Ram Swaroop, District Youth Services and Sports Officer and others were present on the occasion.
