Srinagar/Aug,14: Chairman Peoples Democratic Front ( PDF) and former Minister Hakeem Mohammad Yaseen on Friday condemned killing of two police cops in a militant attack at Nowgan Bypass chowk. He conveyed his sympathies with the bereaved families of policemen Ishfaq Ahmad and Fayaz Ahmad .
In a statement issued here on Friday , Hakeem said killing of any human bieng was against tenants of all religions. He said the slain cops were on thier duty to earn livelihood and feed their families. Terming the attack as an inhuman act, PDF Chairman said ” it was most unfortunate that violence and gun continues to consume precious lives of the people especially youth of jammu and kashmir and has been adding to their pain and miseries with each passing day.
While extending heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and wishing a speedy recovery to the injured cop, Hakeem demanded an end to gun culture from both sides wether belt forces or gun wielding youth. ” It was ultimately a Kashmiris who get affected and whose tragedies get increased each passing day,” Hakeem said ➕adding that instead of resorting to the path of violence , dialogue and reconciliation should be given a fair chance from both sides to resolve all socio- political issues confronting people of jammu and kashmir. He said urgent need of the hour was to eliminate gun culture and violence in trouble torn jammu and kashmir.
