Srinagar/Aug,13 : Acting Mayor Parvez Qadri along with Commisioner SMC Gazanfar Ali toured various Shia Dominated areas including Zadibal, Baba Mazaar,Alam Gari Bazaar, Hakeem Mohhala Lal Bazar, Madeen Sahib Hawal, Baagwanpora etc to review arrangements ahead of Mohharam UL Haram.
Joint Commissioner Works Ishtiyaq Ahmed Shah, Chief Sanitation Officer Mudasir Banday, concerned ward officer and other officials were also present on tour. Sanitation of the said areas was reviewed and it was directed that an extended sanitation drive has to be continuously conducted in the said areas all through Mohharam days
Joint Commissioner works is constantly being directed to see if there is any requirement for installation of street lights or any defunct light that needs to be replaced should immediately be attended to in these areas.There should be no single problem on account of sanitation, street lights and drainage ahead of Mohharam days said Acting Mayor Parvez Qadri.People or devotees thronging to imambadas and other religious places during the said days should not face any inconvenience further added Qadri.
Earlier Commissioner SMC Gazanfar Ali in a meeting directed all the ward officers to keep a close liaison with the general public, intizamia committee of the shia dominated areas to address their problems on priority .
