Srinagar: Chairman Jammu and Kashmir Civil Society Forum Abdul Qayoom Wani on Tuesday said that the alleged killing of three missing labour’s of Rajori in Shopian is shocking ,unfortunate unacceptable. He has also demanded an open court inquiry for exemplary punishment to culprits.
In a statement issued here on Tuesday the Wani voiced his serious concern over the reported killing of three missing labourer’s of Rajori in Shopian district of South Kashmir in a “fake encounter” . Wani termed this incident shocking & unfortunate saying that as per reports the three labourer’s have gone missing in Shopian district just before a day government forces have claimed to have killed three militants in Shopian.Wani said that such incidents have been already witnessed in J&K in past and the families of victims are still waiting for justice. Wani demanded open court enquiry in a time bond manner to bring facts to light and exemplary punishment to the culprits.

No. 1-A/E Extension Trikuta Nagar, Jammu the then Patwari Muthi, Manohar Singh S/o Baldev Singh R/o Gole Gujral Talab Tillo, Jammu the then Naib Tehsildar Muthi Shanti Saroop S/o Karam Chand R/O Peermitha, Jammu then Tehsildar (AR) Jammu (Expired), Surinder Gupta S/O Sain Dass Gupta R/O, Nai Basti Satwari, the then Tehsildar Jammu (Expired) Babu Ram S/o Pola Ram R/O Village Mishriwalla, the then Patwari Muthi (Expired) Mahant Bawa Ram Milan Dass Chilla Baba Khem Dass R/o Ram Janki Temple Thakure Dawara Udheywala Jammu and Damodar Dass S/O Hari Ram Panday Village Kusmahi Buzarg Silloo P/S Lal Ganj District Basti Uttar Prade
The instant case was registered on 21.02.2011 on the basis of verification conducted into the allegations leveled by the complainant. During the course of investigation it was established that that Baba Shri Ram Milan Dass (Mahant) was Pujari /custodian of the temple “Thakur Dwara Shri Ram Janki Pracheen Mandir, Udheywala, Jammu” had no authority or competence to alienate/ transfer/lease out the land belonging to the said temple but Mahant Baba Ram Milan Dass in order to take undue benefit to himself and wrongful loss to the temple hatched a criminal conspiracy with the other accused persons mentioned above. The accused revenue officers/officials issued the revenue extracts for execution of sale and lease deeds illegally and later on entered and attested mutations of different pieces of land.
This action on their part individually as well as collectively was found to be illegal and sheer abuse of their official positions and powers in order to confer undue benefit to Mahant Bawa Ram Milan Dass and wrongful loss to the temple which fully constitute the commission of criminal misconduct as defined under the provisions of the PC Act Under a well-knit conspiracy plan the accused persons disposed of 150 kanals of land belonging to the temple situated in villages Muthi and Paloura.
