DGP sanctions scholarship for 11 wards of deceased police personnel, meritorious scholarship for 3 wards of SPOs

Srinagar: Continuing with its endeavour to provide financial aid and boost the morale of the wards of Police personnel, Director General of Police, J&K Dilbag Singh sanctioned scholarship in favour of 14 school going wards vide two different orders of Police Headquarters.
Under order number 2127 of 2020, Rupees Rupeess five thousand each has been sanctioned in favour of Ifra Ayoub, Adnan Farooq, Sumaira Farooq, Arsalan Ahmad, Nittan Kumar, Nitisah Kumar, Munaza Muzaffer, Shahid Muzaffar, Natasha Devi, Dilpreet Singh and Romani Gupta, all wards of deceased police personnel pursing eduction in different classes. Meanwhile, meritorious scholarship out of Police Pariwar Fund has been sanctioned in favour of 3 wards of serving SPOs who have secured above 80% marks in annual examination of Class 10th/12th during the academic session 2019-2020. Under this order Rupees four thousand each has been sanction in favour of Sahhil Charak and Sohrab Ajaz for securing above 80% marks in class 10th and Rupees Six thousand each has been sanctioned in favour of Suhail Ahmad Khan for securing over 85% marks in class 12th.The amount has been sanctioned out of Central Police welfare fund. The scholarships are granted every year for the school going children of deceased police personnel to provide them assistance in pursuing education & to boost their morale.
