Awantipora Police fines 10 violators; Seized/challaned 13 vehicles for defying Govt orders

Srinagar: Acting tough against the violators of Govt prohibitory orders, Police have Seized/challaned 13 vehicles and fined 10 violators for defying govt orders in Awantipora.
10 violators were fined for not wearing masks in different areas of Awantipora and fine to the tune of ?5,000 was collected from them.
Police have also Seized/challaned 13 vehicles across the Police District for violating prohibitory orders issued by the administration.
Police have once again requested the general public to follow the directions issued by Government in order to prevent the spread of Covid-19. Also, those who are found violating the restrictions will be dealt strictly.

Two militant associates held in Sopore: Police
Srinagar: Sopore police on Monday claimed to have arrested two militant sympathizers from apple town sopre in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
According to police statement, Joint team of 22RR, SOG, CRPF 179, 92 BN and Sopore police laid naka at Darpora Bomai and arrested two militant associates.
Police has identified them as Ishfaq Ahmad Mir son of Ghulam Hassan Mir of Gund Brath and Mohammad Shafi Bhat son of Late Md Maqbool of Darpora Bomai and recovered one Hand Grenade-1 and AK-47 rounds-20 from their possession. A case FIR No. 63 / 2020 U/S 7/25 IA Act, 18, 23, 38, 39 ULA (P) Act has been registered in PS Bomai in this rear
