ACB registers case against block manager J&K SFC Parvaiz Bakshi, Says ” properties worth crores detected during raids”

Srinagar/Aug, 11 : The Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Tuesday said that it has registered a disproportionate asset case against Parvaiz Ahmad Bakshi S/o Abdul Majid Bakshi R/o Khankah-i-Moula Sopore A/P Shams Abad Bemina Srinagar,Block Manager in J&K State Forest Corporation as searches were conducted during which Properties worth crores were detected.
A statement issued from the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) said “based on verification conducted by ACB, it was established that Parvaiz Ahmad Bakshi S/o Abdul Majid Bakshi R/o Khankah-i-Moula Sopore A/P Shams Abad Bemina Srinagar (Block Manager in J&K State Forest Corporation)”, adding that “Parvaiz Bakshi, block manager in SFC has accumulated huge immovable properties, highly disproportionate to his known sources of income”. The statement further said “consequently case FIR No. 03/2020 u/s 13(1) (b) r/w 13 (2) of Prevention of Corruption Act 1988 was registered in Police Station ACB Baramulla”. The ACB in it’s statement said ” searches were conducted simultaneously in Srinagar & Jammu by the teams of ACB in pursuance to the warrants obtained from Court of Special Judge Baramulla”.
The ACB in it’s statement claimed that during searches various incriminating documents were recovered leading to several properties of the accused. “The accused official was allegedly found in possession of various Assets during search which include One 3 storey house at Shams Abad Bemina; One double storey house at Gousia Colony Bemina; One double storey house at Sunjwan Jammu;one Kanal of land at Shams Abad Bemina; Plot of 15 marla at Shams Abad Bemina;one kanal of land at Gousia Colony Bemina;9 kanals of land at Diver Pattan;4 shops at Hamdania Colony Bemina; 2 shops at Gousia Colony Bemina;1 Scorpoio Car;1 Honda City Car;1 Maruti 800 car;1 Motor Cycle;and 1 Scooty”, the statement reads

3. The life style of the accused officer was also found quite lavish and incommensurate with his status as a public servant and income thereof.

4. The investigation of the case is going on.
