Srinagar/Aug, 5: Iltija Mufti the daughter of PDP Chief and former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti has said that COVID-19 is simply “an excuse to justify repression” in Jammu and Kashmir as she referred to the arrest of party’s senior leader Firdous Taking a former MLC and his another party associate Sheik Nasir.
Taking to micro blogging social networking site twitter Iltija wrote “PDP leaders @takfirdous & Sheikh Nasir have been detained by @JmuKmrPolice at Kishtwar. With dissent being criminalised, its glaringly obvious that J&K is now a police state & COVID simply an excuse to justify repression”
