Srinagar/Aug, 3: Chairman Employees Joint Consultative Committee (EJCC) Jammu and Kashmir and President CAPD Employees Association Kashmir Aijaz Ahmad Khan on Monday condoled the demise of Altaf Ahmad Mir S/O Abdul Aziz Mir R/O Manzgam , Brane aged 28 , a Daily Wager of LAWDA , Srinagar. He was the lone breadwinner for the family.
In a statement issued here on Monday Khan demanded a departmental inquiry into the incident that led to electrocution of Altaf Ahmad Mir . Maintaining and Reiterating that loss of life cannot be compensated Khan appealed Lieutenant Governor of Grish Chandra Murmu to provide all possible financial help to the family on departmental and personal level. He appealed Administration to sanction Ex – Gratia relief of Rs. 1 crore (One Crore only)in favour of the NOK’s of the deceased and engage the wife of the deceased under SRO -43 in the Department. Acknowledging that standard operating procedure “is ignored which leads to such unfortunate INCIDENTS, Khan said .lack of safety equipment is one of the reasons leading to such horrific incidents. .
Khan said he and EJCC led Associations stand with the bereaved family members in these times of grief and sorrow and pray for peace to thet departed soul.
