Srinagar : Mtr.Fatima Begum aged 80 years , the Aunt (Masi) of Dr.Farooq Ahmad Peer,a prominent Academician & Writer, breathed her last on 30th July,2020 .She was resident of Sampora, Dooru, Sopore (Kashmir). She was a pious, gentle, reticent, generous, noble and a very simple lady. She lived her life in simplicity and prosperity. Simplicity was her great ornament.
Her fateh khani (Quran Khani) will not be celebrated in view of pandemic Covid-19. However a small fateh khani (Quran Khani) will be held on 2nd August,2020 (Sunday)by her family members.
It is pertinent to mention that she was Dadi Masi of IAS Officer, Fazlul Haseeb of 2018 batch. People from various fields of life viz Academics, Administration, Civil Society etc condoled Dr.Farooq Ahmad Peer.
