Jammu: An eight-year-old girl died while her two siblings have been hospitalized after an incident of drowning took place in a village of Poonch’s Mandi Tehsil.
Police said three children of Zakir Ahmed from Jaliyaan village of Poonch Mandi were taking a bath in a river when the trio got washed away in strong water currents.
“All the three were rescued by the people and were taken to Mandi Sub District hospital where the girl identified as Shabnam Akhter, was declared brought dead,” an official said.
He added that her two minor brothers are under medical observation
