Srinagar: After receiving complaints from various ends regarding rise of illegal constructions in the city during lockdown due to ongoing covid 19 pandemic ,Commissioner SMC Gazanfar Ali has taken a strong note and has called for probe for rise of such illegal constructions…
He has in the first instance sought explanation and building permissions from the concerned ward officers from whose jurisdiction such illegal constructions has taken place .
While taking to Twitter Ali said that law will definitely take its course . Collecting details of all structures which have come up illegally.
He said a stern action will be taken against all those erring officials who shall be held responsible for such illegal constructions to come up after gathering all the details of illegally constructed buildings.Nobody will be spared who are hand in glove behind such constructions said Mr Ali.
Several meetings has been called up earlier with ward officers and enforcement wing where in Commissioner repeatedly gave clear cut directions to keep a strict vigil on illegal constructions amidst growing pandemic.
Any official or officer who fails to comply with the directions will be dealt under law he has earlier warned.
Any one who wants to construct building for shelter or for commercial purpose will be given permission under law within a week’s time after getting requisite NOCs said Commissioner SMC
