Srinagar: A 65-year-old man was allegedly killed by his younger brother on Monday during a scuffle over a land dispute in Nehalpora area of Pattan in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
Officials said the incident took place in Nehalpora Pattan when a man identified as Bashir Ahmad Yatoo, son of Abdul Rahim Yatoo was killed during a scuffle over some land dispute.
Two brothers had a heated argument over the land dispute in which a man allegedly killed his 65-year-old elder brother, when the deceased tried to intervene and stop his younger brother.
Police officials confirmed that the body was taken to Pattan hospital for postmortem.
They said the five persons have been arrested in this regard and a case under number 191/2020 under section 148, 307, 427, 447 and 149 has been registered in Police Station Pattan
