108 junior scale KAS probationers to report rural dev deptt posting as BDOs, to resume training from Ist May next year

Srinagar/ July,25 : The Jammu and Kashmir Government has placed the services of 108 junior scale KAS probationers at the disposal of rural devel & panchayat raj department for their positing as Block Development Officers (BDOs) and asked them to resume their training from Ist May next year. All the 108 junior scale KAS probationers are presently undergoing training at the J&K Institute of Management, Public Administration & Rural Development (J&K IMPARD) in Srinagar and Jammu.

An order issued from the General Administration Department (GAD) said  that the Department of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj shall ensure that these probationers are posted in smaller blocks, utilizing experienced officers in larger blocks. The order further directs that probationers shall be posted immediately and they shall neither be attached nor kept waiting for posting in any manner. The order also says that  the posting orders must be strictly complied with and if it is considered necessary to modify a transfer order under some compelling circumstances, it should be done only after obtaining the approval of GAD for which sufficient justification shall be conveyed in advance. The Government in it’s order has further ordered that the  the formal classroom training of the Probationers shall recommence from Ist May next year .
