Hakeem for intensifying market checking Eid-ul-Azha, appeals Ummah to celebrate Eid with simplicity and help needy

Srinagar/July, 24 :-  Chairman Peoples Democratic Front  (PDF ) and former minister Hakeem  Mohammad Yaseen Friday urged the government especially district administration Budgam to intensify market checking on the eve of Eid-ul-Azha to contain  prices of essential commodities and sacrificial animals.
In a statement issued on Friday Hakeem  urged the government to launch a vigorous market checking drive  in nook and corner of jammu and kashmir to contain skyrocketing  prices of essential commodities and sacrificial animals on the eve of upcoming Bakra Eid . He said government should also redouble  it’s efforts  to ensure massive  cleanliness and senitisation especially during first three days of the Eid . He said government should enforce rate list of the Food Supplies and Consumer Affairs department  strictly to prevent public from fleecing on the hands of profiteers .
Hakeem also made a fervent appeal  to  Muslim Ummah to celebrate this Bakra Eid with utmost simplicity and all precautions in view of Coronovirus pandemic. ” While celebrating this Bakra Eid, we shall have to follow all the health advisories and SOPs to save our selves as well as the lives of  others from the infection of  Coronovirus, ” Hakeem  maintained adding that  need of the hour was to celebrate the religious festival with utmost simplicity. He has urged the people to  remember poor and destitute also while celebrating Eid and provide them every possible assistance.  He said every one among us should adopt austerity measures by cutting down  wasteful expenditure and donate generously  to ameliorate the lot of  poor and needy in the society, ” Hakeem  added.
