Srinagar /July,19: Chairman Jammu and Kashmir Civil Society Forum (JK CSF) Ab Qayoom Wani on Sunday said that unprecedented spike in covid -19 cases is alarming and as such ractical measures on war footing basis are a must to minimise spike both in the no of cases and as well as deaths in Kashmir.
In a statement issued here on Sunday Chairman jammu Kashmir Civil Society Forum (JKCSF) Wani said that It is the need of the hour to convert major hotels of srinagar and other towns with proper hygienic atmosphere into quarantine centres,with oxygen cylinder facilities ,ventilators and doctors on war footing basis to tackle this present volatile situation and panic among people .
Wani said theoretical measures have drawn a flak and Govt will have to take practical measures to control the pandemic and prove that action speaks louder than words. “Let all of us be practical in defeating covid-19 and minimise its spike IN Jammu and Kashmir by putting all possible efforts and strict adherence to guidelines of WHO ,health experts and government. Wani said that ,to fight covid-19 asked JKCSF leaders and activists to keep vigil on cheaters who are always hellbent upon to tease ,cheat and loot their own people and derive sadistic pleasure out of it .
Wani demanded that Employees of health deptt, municipal corporation ,PHE ,local bodies ,police and other relevant departments be put on alert and these frontline warriors be given full protection ,full risk insurance cover and other necessary equipments for their own protection and also those of covid patients.
Wani demanded that main two hospitals of srinagar should be kept covid free for common patients as the common patients are the worst sufferers for the last four months .
Wani appealed the public to avoid unnecessary outing and strictly abide by the guidelines to save themselves ,their families and other people from this dreaded disease for the sake of humanity.
