Srinagar, July 11 : Two more Covid-19 patients including a young lady from Anantnag have died, taking the total number of COVID-19 deaths to 162 in Jammu and Kashmir.
Officials said  two patients who died include a 24-year-old lady  Habra village of South Kashmir’s  Anantnag district  and a 77-year-old man from Hyderpora, Srinagar.
The officials said that the young lady from Anantnag died at SHMS while the elderly man from Srinagar died  at SKIMS.  Dr. Nazir Chaoudhary, medical superintendent at SMHS the lady from Anantnag who was admitted on 03 July was very sick and was suffering from hypertension and other ailments.  “She died at SMHS on Friday late night.”
He said that the patient was referred from LD hospital  after she had a caesarean delivery and the patient died due to brain hemorrhage while her baby is fine.
Dr. Farooq Jan, medical superintendent at SKIMS said  the elderly man from Hyderpora, Srinagar was very sick and was on a ventilator in the IDB block and died at around 7:45 am.
“Patient was a case of Carcinoma Urinary Bladder and was admitted with Bilateral pneumonia with ARDS,” he said.
With two more deaths, the COVID-19  death tolL has mounted to  162 in Jammu and Kashmir.
