DDC Shopian releases book ‘Evaluation Study on RKVY’

Shopian: The District Development Commissioner, Shopian, Chaudry Mohammad Yaseen who is also Chairman of District Level Technical Advisory Committee, Wednesdayreleased the book ‘Evaluation Study on Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojna’ (RKVY).
Under Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojna programme, the farming community has been provided various modern Agricultural machinery equipment’s like IP sets, Tube wells, Motorised Vending Carts, Brush Cutters, Tool Kits, Manual Vending Carts, Power Tillers, Vermi-Composts, Bee Hives, Polygreen Houses, weeders, Mushroom Units, Agri- Business Centres and Deep Borewells to increase the Agriculture production of the District.
The scheme has proved pivotal in increasing the Agriculture production of the district thereby generating revenue and income to improve socio-economic status of the farmers.
The book was launched in the presence of Joint Director Planning, CPO, District Statistics and Evaluation Officer, Shopian besides other Officers and Officials of the District.
