Srinagar: A CRPF jawan was injured in a low intensity Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blast on Srinagar-Pulwama road in south Kashmir on Sunday.
Official sources said militants detonated a low intensity IED when a Road Opening Party of CRPF was being deployed for movement of convoy in Gangoo area in Pulwama.
A jawan, identified as Constable GD Dass of 182 battalion of CRPF, was injured in the blast, they said, adding the wounded was rushed to a hospital.
“The jawan has received an injury on his hand,” they said, adding the entire has been sealed and a massive search operation has been launched to nab the militants responsible for the blast.
