Three more deaths COVID-19 deaths reported from Srinagar hospitals on Sunday mounted the COVID-19 death toll to 130 in Jammu and Kashmir.
A top health official at SKIMS Soura said ” a 70 -year -old male admitted on July 3 died on Sunday morning at the top referral hospital”, adding that “sample of the patient was taken on July 03 which came positive on July 04″. He said the patient was suffering from bilateral pneumonia and was on NIV support but his attendants had given negative consent for intubation.
He said that another 60 -year -old female from Shadipora Bandipora who tested positive for COVID-19 died Sunday morning at SKIMS , adding that ” she died of cardiopulmonary arrest and was suffering from azotemia and sepsis”. “Patient was known case of hypertension, diabetes, CKD, ESRD admitted with pneumonia and encephalopathy, “he said.
A health official said “a 40 -year -old male of Sangrama Baramulla died on Sunday morning at Chest Diseases Hospital Srinagar”, adding that ” patient had tested positive for Covid-19 and was referred from SMHS hospital Srinagar to CD hospital on June 27 . “The patient was suffering from bilateral pneumonia and died on Sunday,” he said. With three more deaths, the death toll has mounted to 130 in Jammu and Kashmir.
