Director Horticulture Jammu reviews ‘Kissan Pakhwada’ arrangements

Jammu: Director Horticulture Jammu Ram Savak, Friday chaired a meeting of Chief Horticulture Officers of Jammu division Jammu to review the arrangements for Kissan Pakhwada to be held from July 7 to July 21, 2020 and the progress on various Horticultural related activities.
The Director impressed upon all the Chief horticulture Officers to make the Kissan Pakhwada under Aatam Nirbhar Bharat Package a successful event which shall be inaugurated by Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir on July 7, 2020.
During the meeting, all the officers were asked to update the information regarding area / production losses of fruits for the year 2018-19 and 2019-20 which is prerequisite for the crop insurance beside the list of beneficiaries availing assistance as DBT along with their bank account numbers, Aadhar numbers and their contact numbers.
The Director also asked the Chief Horticulture Officers to submit the list of identified beneficiaries under all schemes viz., CAPEX, MIDH, PMDP etc., the progress of pit digging for rainy season plantation besides progresses of nursery targets and also area / production of fruit crop for uploading in the HAPIS.
The Director stressed upon all the Officers to put full efforts to achieve the targets under Area Expansion programme and production of quality planting material in departmental nurseries which have already been assigned to field functionaries including ongoing civil works in time.
Deputy Director Horticulture Jammu, Deputy Director Planning, Assistant Director Horticulture Jammu and Accounts Officer were also present in the meeting.
