Srinagar/July, 3  :  Three senior trade union leaders of Jammu and Kashmir Teachers Joint Action Committee (JKTJAC)  Gulzabair Daing, Saleem Sagar and Prashant Sharma have been  nominated as  core representatives of National Old Pension Restoration United Front (NOPRUF) forJammu and Kashmir.  Gulzabair Daing has  been nominated as state coordinator, Saleeem Sagar as state coordinator , and Prashant Sharma  as social mediaand IT incharge for the Jammu and Kashmir by NOPRUF.
The national executive committee of NOPRUF has, for the first time, launched it’s representative  unit in Jammu and Kashmir, which would represent all the employees of Jammu and Kashmir who fall under NPS (New Pension Scheme), to safeguard their post retirement life by raising the voice at national level for restoration of old pension scheme for them.
Pertinently  NPS was introduced in erstwhile Jammu and Kashmir state with effect from  January 2010, however NPS(New Pension Scheme) is not as beneficial as OPS (Old Pension Scheme) pertaining to post retirement benefits.
All three nominated representatives, Gulzabair Daing, Saleeem Sagar and Prashant Sharma have acknowledged their nomination and have said in a joint statement, ” the state unit would strengthen its roots  by extending its membership drive in near future. They have also appealed all the government employees of Jammu and Kashmir who fall under NPS to extend their support to the organisation in order to get NPS revoked, so that the future of thousands of employees would be safe and secure.
Meanwhile, all the three leaders have thanked worthy national president NOPRUF Mr B P Sing Rawat for building trust in them by nominating them as core representatives of  the organisation for Jammu and Kashmir. They have also ensured him their full cooperation for running the organisation.
